Who we are

The Sensitive Skin Lab is an independent resource published by Creative Sauce Ltd. We write plain-English guides to skincare ingredients, common skin conditions and allergies, for people with sensitive or reactive skin, and for the parents and carers who shop for them.

Our connection to ClearaScan (full disclosure)

Our editor co-founded ClearaScan, an app that checks products against your own personal avoidance list. We mention ClearaScan in our guides, and whenever we do, we say so clearly. We also list independent alternatives alongside it, and we are not paid to feature any of the tools we mention. We only recommend ones we believe are genuinely useful.

How we make our content

Our guides are written in plain English and aim to be accurate and balanced. We explain what an ingredient is and who tends to react to it, rather than labelling things universally "good" or "bad", because sensitivity is personal: the ingredient that bothers one person is fine for another. We avoid scare tactics and absolute claims.
