Who we are
The Sensitive Skin Lab (thesensitiveskinlab.com) is published by Creative Sauce Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12582512, VAT No. GB365544675), based in London. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this site. You can reach us at hello@thesensitiveskinlab.com.
A note on health information
Our guides are general educational information, not medical advice. We do not ask for information about your health, and you do not need to give us any to use the site. If you choose to include health details when you email us, we use them only to reply to you, and we do not add them to any marketing list.
What information we collect
- Information you give us when you request our ingredient guides and downloads, subscribe, or email us, such as your email address, any name or business you provide, and the content of your message.
- Email engagement when we send you a guide or update: we use standard open and click tracking to understand whether our emails are useful. You can ignore this by not opening images or links.
- Information collected automatically when you visit, such as approximate location, device and browser type, and how you use the site, through cookies and our hosting provider's standard logs.
How we use it, and our lawful bases
- To send you the guides, downloads or updates you ask for (consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us).
- To answer your enquiry (contract, or steps prior to a contract).
- To operate, secure, measure and improve the site and our emails (legitimate interests).
- To meet our legal obligations (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with trusted service providers ("sub-processors") who help us run the site and our emails, under contracts that require them to protect it and act only on our instructions. These currently include our website hosting provider (Vercel), our database provider (Supabase), our email delivery provider, and our analytics provider (Google). We keep an up-to-date list and will share it on request. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
AI and your data
We do not feed the personal data you submit through this site into AI models, and we do not use it to train them.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep subscriber and enquiry data for as long as you remain subscribed or until your request is dealt with, and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

We use a small number of cookies and privacy-respecting analytics, which stay switched off until you accept them. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@thesensitiveskinlab.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is intended for adults, including parents and carers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows when it was last revised.
